SASED Central has been my home for 20 years. Home comes to mind as the staff is a family who cares for, educates and nurtures the students in our care. The Structured Program was the beginning of my teaching at SASED. I have been teaching at the Middle School level for the last 17 years. Receiving my Bachelor's in Social Work from the University of Illinois I soon realized that teaching was my path. I obtained my Special Education Certification from Eastern University. Along the way, I earned my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership. I have three children, Ryan (34), Lindsey (33), & Cole (26). I have four grandsons, Theo (5) & Emmett (3), Archie (3 months), Soren (1.5) & two granddaughters, Cameron (4) & Quinn (3). We lost Miller at the end of the 2023 school year! He was much loved here at SASED. He came to school and loved everyday he was there with the students. I still have Izzy (Puggle) who is 15 years old and a new puppy Georgia (5 months). Georgia is learning to be a good student! Yoga is a passion and I teach in my extra time!
