October's Professional Development

SASED will be offering an Administrator's Academy entitled "Identification & Provision Of Services To The Special Education Student". This academy course, presented by Brandon K. Wright of Miller, Tracy, Braun, Funk & Miller, Ltd., is specially designed for administrators, teachers, and other special education professionals who need a “crash course” in the fundamentals of IDEA compliance and the emerging trends in special education law. Come prepared for a lively and informative day, packed with plenty of opportunities for audience participation and targeted answers to your most pressing questions. CERTIFICATION RENEWAL REMINDER

Be sure to go to your ELIS account to check on the expiration date and ‘registered thru’ date of your professional license. Renewals may be submitted by certified staff beginning April 1st. Paraprofessional endorsement renewals may be submitted beginning April 15th. Questions may be directed to Nancy at x.109.

INSPIRATIONAL PERSON!!!

The Inspirational Person of the Month for October is Kathy Wilkins, Special Education Teacher at Williamsville JH.  She is truly an amazing and caring teacher who is always in a good mood.  Even on difficult days she greets you with a smile.  She is dedicated to her students and wants the very best for them.  She works well with her co-workers and administrators.  She is reliable, dependable and always willing to put forth extra time and effort.  It is evident when you walk into her classroom that students are comfortable and enjoy being in her class.  Congratulations, Kathy!!
