Let me start by introducing myself, Mr. Appleberry or also known as Mr. Emory. My name is Lorie Meyers and I am one of the teachers in the Junior High at Sased Central. I graduated with a BS in Special Education from Eastern Illinois University and have a Masters of Education in Reading and Literacy and Educational Leadership. I have taught the last 11 years with the Sangamon Area Special Education School District. I enjoy teaching and working with all children of all ages.
Mr. Emory will also be in our classroom this year. Mr. Emory has been a paraprofessional at Sased Central for the past 10 years. He is always willing to go the extra mile to make sure your child has the very best.
We have a lot of plans for this school year. We will be working with your children at their functioning levels. There will be some group work, working one-on-one as well as independent work.
If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know. I will be sending home a weekly note letting you know how your child is progressing or any behavior issues. Please let me know if your child has any allergies or concerns that I need to be made aware of. My email is Lmeyers@sasedcentral.org and my phone number is 217-529-8849. We look forward to a full and fun year of learning!
